It's not magic, it's just staying on track--so to speak. How many times have you (or I) said to yourself: "this doesn't work; it just seems like it's working"? Well, does it matter? If you're getting the desired result and you're maintaining the control of your thoughts in a positive frame of reference, why question it?

So, I had a trying time the other day. Things were not necessarily seeming to go the way I wanted them. I caught myself in this loop and changed it to: "well, the birds are doing okay. They fly around and do whatever, and still they're taken care of. Why should I worry. After all, worrying is like praying for what you don't want. I'll just let this thing go and trust that I'm also being taken care of."

Next thing I knew, I got a telephone call confiming the very thing I had desired. It all worked out. And, not only worked out, but turned out better than I had originally thought it would.

So, I get to hear it again. The Law of Attraction is fake. It doesn't work. You people only "think" that it's working for you, but it really isn't. And what do those people experience? The exact thing that they were talking about...it seeming to not work. Instead of looking for ways to disprove something, why not give it a good old college try and stay the course? You didn't learn to walk immediately, so why is this any different?

Ever lived through that experience? You had an idea how something would work out, and, strangely enough, it came to be JUST AS YOU HAD IMAGINED THAT IT WOULD. Eery, huh?

I think that it's important to notice as many happenings of fulfillment of the Law of Attraction that we can. When we begint to take note of these things, it's often amazing how much is really going on that we were unaware of.

I know that coincidences take place all the time. How many are coincidences, and how many are fulfillments of the Law of Attraction? You're looking for something and BAM, there it is. Or, you need to talk to a certain person and BAM, they call you. You need a particular item or a certain amount of money and BAM, it shows up.

A friend of mine, who may or may not put much creedence into the Law of Attraction has been noticing things more and more now. Just the other day, she came running outside to tell me that she found a stick of deordant in her shoe. Not so amazing. What was amazing was that she had been currently thinking about how she NEEDED deodorant. Bam, there it was.

Anyway, take some time and start noticing the fulfillment of the Law of Attraction and see what it brings you. What can it hurt? You're living your life anyway?

Fear based thinking.

We have all had times when we were afraid. Felt some fear. Had our pants scared off of us.

Fear, on a certain level, is a good thing. It helps to keep us safe. In our primitive mind, it is there to alert us of approaching danger. That's a good thing.

The other side of fear is that side that keeps us from doing what we want to do (or, perhaps, even what we SHOULD do). That uneasy feeling in our gut that immobilizes us. We've all felt it. And, we've all dealt with it in our own ways.

I'd like to examine fear based thinking a bit here, and see if we can shed some light on this topic.

In sales, fear is often used as a motivator. As in, the fear of loss (versus the desire for gain). Certainly, it has been used quite effectively. While I am by no means advocating trickery, dishonesty or self-serving sales techniques, I am sure that ethical and moral sales people and business implement this strategy in a transparent manner.

In this usage, prospects are shown what they have to lose by not acting now. Perhaps it is a price increase that is coming. Or, a change in manufacturing procedures. Or, the loss of security for themselves and their loved ones. Whatever the perceived loss is (and, it's all about perception, isn't it?), the loss is actually the duality exposed of the desire.

Let's examine: price. A price increase is coming. Now, the prospect wants to pay a reasonable price for the product or service. That is their desire. They don't want to pay more than they have to. So, when they are informed of an increase that is coming, they DESIRE to act on the offer more quickly--so that their desire can be fulfilled.

This is a good thing. The desire is creating a greater sense of urgency to act due to the information regarding the impending price increase. Acting based on this information actually helps the prospect.

If the business/salesperson was informing the prospect in an honest manner, then this is actually not fear-based thinking. It is a desire for gain, and it is all good and well. However, if the impending price increase was a lie, and there is no impending price increase...well, then the business/salesperson definitely has an integrity problem. That's a whole 'nother ballgame.

We are all faced with choices every single day of our lives. How we respond to these choices often comes down to fear or desire. Do we desire to improve our lot in life? Or, are we afraid of making a mistake? Do we desire to grow as a person? Or, are we afraid of what others might think of us? Do we desire to choose X or Y? Or, are we afraid of making a mistake?

One of the greatest fears out there is the one where we think that everything must be perfect BEFORE we can act on a certain matter. This holds back more people than you probably imagine. Lying in the middle of this cesspool of mediocrity is the common belief that somehow we are not good enough. Good enough to deserve whatever it is that we felt we could have.

That's another fear, by the way.

Over time, thinking in this manner creates more and more indecision in our lives. We become afraid to make ANY decisions whatsoever. Because--what's the use, right?

A little wake up call here: there is never a time when all the lights are green. You've just got to get out there and do something. Life is one thing after another, and until you accept that, you will be immobilized continually by imagined fears.

Sure, you might make a mistake. Sure, you might not immediately succeed in the way that you thought you would. But through these experiences, you gain something more valuable--wisdom. You gain the wisdom of learning how to do it, how to move forward, how to make it right.

Living in fear will only create more fear for you. Living in desire will only create more desire for you. They're both just opposite sides of the same "coin". Hesitancy creates indecision and indecision creates hesitancy. And, whenever you hesitate, you miss out on great opportunities.

Seems like everywhere we go, we keep hearing about "the law of attraction". What is it? Does it work? Is it really a Universal Law? Do we have to work with this law?

I have heard (and read materials from) many people claiming to understand the Law of Attraction. Some of it is good, some of it is not so good. I have come to the conclusion that we all have our unique take on this principle.

The Law of Attraction is all about vibration and frequency. We are all made up of energy (at our most basic level). EVERYTHING is made up of energy. This being the case, it only stands to reason that we are all somehow connected to each other AND we are all somehow connected to everything. That bears some repetition:

WE ARE ALL SOMEHOW CONNECTED TO EACH OTHER AND WE ARE ALL SOMEHOW CONNECTED TO EVERYTHING!

This connection is what it's all about. This is why certain people, events, circumstances, situations, finances, relationships, etc. are in your life. You have, on some level of your being, "attracted" them into your life.

A lot of people get into the blame game when they hear this. They want to blame themselves, they want to blame the world, they want to blame their parents, they want to blame their spouse, ...

It's not about blame, it's about responsibility. Realizing that you have done this, without laying any blame, but rather TAKING RESPONSIBILITY for it, allows you to monitor what you are thinking and feeling in a more aware manner.

By the way, sometimes they want to blame the person who told them about this. Something along the lines of: "I didn't want this debt (insert whatever undesirable experience here). It's NOT MY FAULT!!". It is not anyone's "fault"; it just "is".

Back to frequency and vibration...

Being energy, we enjoy certain vibrations within our selves that resonate with other things (people, situations, circumstances, finances, relationships, etc.)--and, just like two tuning forks that are set to the same frequency, those "things" vibrate with us. And, BAM---we attract them to us.

This is all part of quantum physics, and the scientific world is discovering more and more about this. It's not magic. It's science.
